Seldom are artists fortunate enough to have both critical acclaim and commercial success. One such exception is Lance Letscher.
Although his materials, including bookbindings, old ledgers and journals, and miscellaneous paper ephemera, remain the same as in years past, Mr. Letscher is not one to rest on his laurels. He is continually experimenting with new motifs and has developed an even larger vocabulary of shapes and forms to pull from. Lance Letscher has exhibited extensively in Austin, Houston, Los Angeles, New York, San Francisco, and Seattle, as well as in Poznan, Poland; Munich, Germany; and Barcelona, Spain. His work can be found in the collections of the Austin Museum of Art, Austin, Texas; Museum of Fine Arts, Houston, Texas; California State University Print Collection, Long Beach, California; Vinson & Elkins Law Firm, Houston, Texas; Texas Children's Hospital, Houston, Texas; and numerous other public and private collections across the globe. |
